Name: Clemente
Signalment: 11 year old FS Labrador Retriever
Radiologist's Description: The renal pelvis is mildly dilated with anechoic fluid (small arrow). The renal papillary crests appear to be mildly increased in echogenicity. The adjacent pelvic and hilar fat are also increased in echogenicity and appear to be faintly shadowing which can be seen with inflammation and fibrosis (large arrow). These findings are compatible with pyelonephritis. Residual scarring secondary to prior inflammation cannot be ruled out.
Definitive Diagnosis: UA Dx: Urinalysis consistent with aggressive urinary tract infection.
