Name: Rosie
Signalment: 4 year old FS Golden Retriever
Radiologist's Description: The kidney is increased in size and the pelvis is mildly dilated with a uniformly thickened echogenic crest (arrow). The renal cortex also appears to be mildly, uniformly thickened with a hypoechoic parenchyma. Adequate renal corticomedullary distinction is maintained. These findings are compatible with an acute, infectious nephropathy. Lyme disease, leptospirosis or emerging pyelonephritis are the primary differentials.
Definitive Diagnosis: USG Bx: Membranous glomerulonephritis, mild-moderate interstitial nephritis.
