Feline - Adrenal - Adrenal Neoplasia 1

Name: Soho

Signalment: 9 year old MN DSH

Radiologist's Description: The right adrenal gland (large arrow) is markedly enlarged and rounded with an hypoechoic parenchyma. The adrenal parenchyma is slightly heterogenous with mutifocal punctiform regions of mineralization (small arrow). Loss of adrenal corticomedullary distinction is noted. Impingement upon the right liver is noted without obvious contiguous metastasis. Mineralizing adrenal masses are suggestive for adenocarcinoma, functional or nonfunctional. Less likely possibilities include pheochromocytoma and adenoma.

Definitive Diagnosis: US/Clinical Dx: Adrenal neoplasia consistent with carcinoma or pheochromocytoma.
