Signalment: 15 year old MN DSH

Radiologist's Description: Mild generalized splenic enlargement is noted with a splenic width of appoximately 1.8 cm. The splenic parenchyma is slightly hypoechoic and coarse. Minor irregular contour is evident (arrow). Conclusions: Splenomegaly with a coarse parenchyma consistent with reactive hypersplenism or infiltrative disease such as lymphoma or equivalent round cell tumor. Primary inflammatory pathology is considered less likely.

Definitive Diagnosis: USG FNA: Splenic extramedullary leukopoeisis. Clinical outcome consistent with cytology.
